alternifolia, which grows in Northern New South Wales,

Essential oil of tea tree is a powerful antiseptic which kills most bacteria, and is a broad spectrum antifungal.
Apply this multi-purpose oil directly to skin to treat cuts, abrasions, rashes, wounds, boils, acne, tropical ulcers, shaving nicks, pierced ear inflammations, nail infections, tinea, ringworm and insect bites.
10 drops of tea tree oil in shampoo and conditioner will help to control dandruff.
Add 10 drops to half a glass of water and rinse twice daily for mouth ulcers, bleeding gums, oral thrush, following dental surgery or as a gargle for sore throats.
20 drops may be added to bath, spa, soaking nappies, laundry, and when washing floors as a freshening disinfectant.
